Most of us would like to feel closer to those we love and overcome obstacles to personal growth. However, we often get stuck in patterns of relating and behaviors that fall short of what we truly desire. I’m a Taiwanese American therapist who works with second-generation immigrants, people of color, women of color, and queer folks navigating the pain of disconnection—from self, from family, and from the world around them. Whether you're carrying intergenerational trauma, struggling with self-worth, or moving through the quiet grief of not having had space to simply be—you’re not alone.
Many of the people I work with are holding complex identities and untold stories: navigating cultural differences, the pressure to meet others’ expectations, or the silent weight of being “strong” for everyone else. You may find yourself questioning who you are, what you need, or how to trust your own voice.
As a daughter of immigrants, I understand how difficult it can be to navigate your sense of identity and self across differences in values systems and beliefs. My work is shaped by Buddhist values of compassion, loving-kindness and patience of the full human experience.
I’ve had the honor of supporting children, teens, and adults through anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, grief, PTSD, identity exploration, and career uncertainty. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and attuned, always honoring your pace, your story, and your intuition.
In my practice, I am direct, yet warm and humorous, creating a space where you can feel heard and supported. I use evidence-based tools to help couples build relationships rooted in equality, care, and genuine connection. I also help individuals reduce anxiety—whether it’s social anxiety, generalized worry, phobias, or fears like driving—and work through trauma or PTSD.
I support people in strengthening self-awareness, self-esteem, and communication skills. These tools help reduce the fear of confrontation, set healthy boundaries, and balance power dynamics in relationships.
I especially enjoy working with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD, autism, or learning differences, helping them navigate challenges and thrive.
I also work with teens and their families, offering practical strategies to reduce defiance, stress, and anger, so both parents and children can experience more positive, joyful, and connected outcomes.
Before becoming a therapist, I received an MBA from UCLA and spent over 30 years in the corporate world, working in IT, banking, aerospace, manufacturing, marketing, and management. I served as an Executive Director of a local counseling agency. This background allows me to effectively help professionals, as well as individuals navigating major life transitions, including aging. I enjoy supporting and coaching new therapists.
If you’re navigating anxiety, depression, grief, major life transitions, relationship stress, or healing from trauma, you’re in the right place. My niche is domestic and intimate partner violence, and my clinical journey began in a domestic violence shelter, where I became certified and developed deep experience supporting survivors as they reclaim safety, identity, and confidence.
I also work with grief and acute loss, addiction, life transitions, self-esteem, parenting struggles, and relational challenges. I enjoy working with a wide range of ages — including teens, college students, young adults, parents, and older adults transitioning into retirement. As a former therapist in school and college settings, I love supporting students and young athletes as they navigate identity, pressure, and major life decisions.
I am multilingual — I speak English, Russian, and Armenian — and I work with many individuals from immigrant communities, especially those adjusting to a new culture, environment, identity, or chapter in life.
