I know that seeking therapy can feel overwhelming — especially if you’re carrying a lot on your own. I believe deeply in the strength, warmth, and resilience that come from our cultura, and I bring that understanding into every session.
I work with clients who want support navigating anxiety, trauma, stress, and life transitions, particularly when cultural identity and family dynamics play an important role. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, respected, and understood, while also using research-backed tools that truly help you move forward.
Hi, I’m Sasheen, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a unique background in both mental health and nursing. Since 2022, I’ve worked with individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, life transitions, and complex stressors. I believe therapy should feel supportive, collaborative, and tailored to you — not one-size-fits-all.
I earned my Master of Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and Substance Misuse from University of Texas at Arlington, and I’ve also been a Licensed Vocational Nurse since 2012. With over a decade of healthcare experience, I bring a holistic perspective to therapy — understanding both the emotional and physical aspects of well-being.
I have dedicated three decades of my life to providing counseling services. My therapeutic approach is Existential Phenomenological, with a strong emphasis on Jungian psychology. I was introduced to Existential Phenomenology while attending the University of Dallas, where I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology. I obtained my master's in psychology at the University of West Georgia. Then, after several years, I returned to school to obtain a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Additional studies include play therapy, art therapy, SandPlay, EMDR, family studies, psychophysiology, and neuropsychology. My eclectic tools range from expressive art therapies to cognitive behavioral techniques. In addition, I have been blessed with training and work opportunities that have sharpened my clinical skills. My experience includes being a therapist for outpatient clinics, private practice, and hospital settings (inpatient, day hospital/partial hospital, intensive outpatient, and mobile assessment team).
I’m a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in treating narcissistic abuse, postpartum challenges, and relationship issues. I’ve spent years helping clients rebuild their sense of self, strengthen boundaries, and recover from painful relational patterns. My style is direct, compassionate, and deeply trauma-informed. I believe in creating a safe, steady space where you can heal, grow, and feel truly supported.
