What is your approach to therapy? For therapy to be most successful, it is important for you to take an active role. This means working on the things you and I talk about, both during and between sessions. Generally, the more you are willing to invest the greater the return. It is my intention to empower you in your growth process to the degree that you can face life’s challenges in the future without me. I do not believe in creating dependency or prolonging therapy if the therapeutic intervention does not seem to be helping.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?As a clinician, I have experience providing person-centered recovery plans; rehabilitation skills training; case management; and crisis intervention services, to individuals living with severe and persistent mental health concerns. It is my passion to work with people, as they challenge themselves to grow and evolve. Many of us experience challenging feelings of depression, anxiety, relationship stress, and stress of dealing with the many transitions of life. At times, these challenging feelings can make us feel alone or isolated from our communities of love and support. I believe that I am here to walk alongside you and provide insight and support as you begin to see yourself grow and reach the goals that you set for yourself. I primarily work from a narrative perspective, but I pull from many different approaches to create a safe and efficient environment for my clients to explore and reflect on themselves and their situations.
