“It’s not the load that breaks us down, but the way we carry it.” — Anonymous
Life can get heavy, even when we’re doing our best to stay strong. But the truth is, we’re not meant to carry it all alone. God invites us to lay our burdens down and trust that He can bring peace, clarity, and renewal where we feel weary or weighed down.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and School Psychologist who integrates faith, reflection, and evidence-based practices to help clients realign their minds and spirits with God’s promises and purpose. My professional experience spans the juvenile justice system, battered women’s shelters, and public education — all of which have strengthened my faith in God’s power to heal and restore what’s been broken.
I support adults, couples, families, and groups navigating emotional imbalance, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, anger, or seasons of personal and spiritual growth. My clients describe me as compassionate, authentic, and deeply understanding. I believe therapy is a sacred space — one where healing, truth, and hope intersect.
I’m a Dallas-based, full-time telehealth therapist in private practice, serving all of Texas.
The serious: I have spent about 9 years working with eating disorders, at every level of care. During 2 of those years, I also worked at a non-profit community center. I specialized mainly in working with first offenders, self-harm, family issues, gender identity, LGBTQ+/SOGI, and couples. I then spent a year in a Case Manager position, where I advocated with insurance companies to ensure that clients receiving eating disorder treatment in Texas were getting services authorized by their insurance plans.
The fun: I’m mom to 2 pretty bad-ass teenagers, a best friend to several gorgeous people, always ADHD, and an ever-learning partner. My friends, family, clients, and polycule are the most important things on the planet to me. Not directly related, but we love cats around these parts. Four things that always make me happy: good coffee, The Office, a good eyeshadow palette, and fresh hydrangeas
I specialize in traumatic grief, religious trauma, and psychedelic integration, not because I studied them in a textbook, but because I've lived them. When my children passed away, I didn't just lose them; I lost my identity, my conservative Christian faith, and my understanding of the world. The grief was crushing, and my church community offered well-meaning platitudes that felt hollow. I faced a spiritual crisis that was as devastating as the loss itself.
My own healing led me to psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, which gave me perspectives and tools that traditional approaches alone couldn't provide. That transformation changed everything. In 2024, I graduated from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research program after experiencing its power firsthand. I've been a licensed professional counselor in Texas for over 25 years and a counselor supervisor for more than 10 years.
I work with the bereaved carrying the weight of loss, ex-evangelicals navigating guilt and anger after leaving their faith communities, and individuals trying to make sense of profound psychedelic experiences. If you've felt like other therapists don't truly "get it," that's because these wounds need someone who has walked the same path.
Hello and thank you for taking a chance on therapy, reaching out is one of the hardest parts. I am a Texas State University graduate. I have experience in multiple settings including schools, hospitals, inpatient treatment facilities, and group practices. This has allowed me to work with diverse humans and engage in many different therapeutic styles. I have a passion for creating space for my community of color, ADHD, and LGBTQIA. I support adolescents, adults, and parent clients.
