Great to meet you! I’m Dr. Isi Etakibuebu, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice and over a decade of experience in mental health care. I specialize in treating adults across a wide range of psychiatric conditions, from mood and anxiety disorders to complex and acute presentations, including Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, Substance abuse, OCD, Bipolar disorder, and Schizophrenia. My practice is rooted in empathy, evidence-based care, and a commitment to helping you feel heard, supported, and empowered.
I have always been drawn to people’s stories and have a passion for helping people rewrite their narratives, discovering their strengths and creating resilience through healing. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from TCU and my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Wesleyan University. I enjoy reading memoirs, listening to any kind of music, cooking, yoga, and spending time with my family, especially outside.
I strive to create a safe and collaborative space where we can work together to help you achieve your goals. I recognize the importance of treating both the mind and body and uses a systemic approach throughout the therapeutic process. I work towards helping individuals shift their focus from the past to the present and reclaim their personal power.
